The Vanderkloof Holiday Resort, developed by the municipality, is a oasis for holiday makers and visitors.

Facilities

A caravan park with a relaxed atmosphere amongst green lawns and shady trees offers 42 caravan sites and 10 stands for tents, each with its own power point. There are also 9 luxurious, fully-equipped chalets and 18 rooms availible.The resort is also ideal for organized groups for conferences, family reunions and the like. Day visitors are also welcome to use the braai facilities and slipway for boats.

Information Centre

The "Damhuisie" (small dam house) at the entrance to the resort is one of the original construction worker houses and accommodates the municipal information centre and displays exhibitions on the history of the construction of the dam wall and the town.

The residents of the town have stepped in to try and assist the workers at the Resort. A lot of the problems have been rectified and are in the process of being solved. The lawns are green again, thanks to lovely rains we had. The past Easter weekend the staff really worked hard to keep things neat. There is a plumber working to try and repair all the leaking taps, blocked toilets and broken pipes. Most of the campers this past weekend were surprised that things were being taken care of again. We of the Renosterberg Tourism Forum are looking into what can be done to save the resort. We can be contacted at 082 6071194.
